Being famous has always been the dream of many. Even if you feel like you would be perfectly fulfilled sitting in at a desk with only about 40 people really knowing your name, you've always had a slight desire to have people constantly amazed to just see you walking down a street. In this day and age, becoming famous is easier than it has ever been. It can come in an instant, and sadly, it can go in an instant. With "Damn Daniel", all it took was a funny joke to make the kid an internet sensation that eventually ran on his white vans straight to the Ellen Show. Things like this are perfect examples of how being famous can come from any unexpected turn. But it's just as quickly that we forget these people, like, remember Alex from Target? That kid was riding just as high as Daniel was about a year ago, but now you won't hear anyone bring him up in conversation. The two differ in that "Damn Daniel" became an instant catchphrase that, I'll admit, is incredibly fun to say. However, so was "Ain't nobody got time for that!". Where is she? Did she get her shoes? As a result of social media, the lines between being famous and being popular have blurred dramatically. However, the longevity of fame may come from actual talent, perhaps an art perfected (we love you Meryl).
I guess what I'm trying to say is, if a kid simply wearing white shoes and has a hilarious-voiced friend can meet Ellen, then what in God's earth do I need?! Seriously. My lack of talent surely can't stand in the way of me getting my own TV show, thus making millions simply off the stupidity of others. I'll get back to you on what I come up with.
This has been a first post, first! So lighten up, because we're just getting started ;)
